This holiday period is one of the busiest for salon owners. Everyone wants to get an appointment for their hair, nails and waxing (for the lucky ones going down south especially). The more we talk with salon owners, the more we understand their challenges. As salon-goers ourselves, and based on discussions with our future users, we know what they want, but by giving salon owners a pivotal role in the fine-tuning of our mobile app, we are trying to achieve a matchmaking service for the beauty industry in Montreal that makes sense for everyone.
When we set out to create ILUK the idea for us was simple: create an on-demand booking app that allowed people to find last-minute beauty appointments at a reliable salon, while providing a quick and seamless booking experience.
This past year has been deeply challenging and rewarding for us, with many learnings and bumps along the road. However, as we look towards 2019 our initial mission has not changed: we aim to helping users find that coveted Me-Time moment in just a few taps at a tried-and-true salon they know they can trust, while helping our salon partners maximise their revenue by bringing them guaranteed, incremental bookings.
With ILUK so close to launch, we are so excited to see our idea come to life by vetting and working with the top salons Montreal has to offer: from the most-reputable and buzz-worthy, to that hidden gem just around the corner. We thank you for following us on our journey thus-far and we hope you continue to support us on our mission, as we show Montreal a new way to book that last-minute mani, wax, or trip to the barber.
