God looked down and saw women needed a break from shaving, waxing, primping and plucking so He gave them winter!
But winter (and spring) is officially over and let’s be real, we prefer having to get back to our strict hair removal regimen than endure another snow storm and below zero temperatures! We ain’t scared because we know where to go and what to do!
We have selected five salons in Montreal that are trusted for their hair removal services in various neighborhoods (West Island, downtown, Mile-end, and Rosemont). Obviously, as per ILUK’s principles, all salons exceed expectations and average standards so that even if you are not familiar with one of the salons, you can book in full confidence. Some offer a discount or perk to our readers! This is the perfect way to discover the salon if you have never been! Just let them know during your appointment that the ILUK app sent you 😉
ÉLÉMENTS MAISON DE BEAUTÉ
Hair removal: IPL, waxing
Downtown: 1140, Guy St, suite 103 (corner with René-Lévesque W. Blvd)
© photo Éléments Maison de Beauté
We like Éléments because of its spa feel and the fact that they offer IPL hair removal. For those who are not familiar with IPL: intense pulsed light treatment designed to remove pigmentation and hair, while tightening the skin (bonus right?!). This is a permanent hair removal solution so after you complete all your sessions, your hair should have disappeared. You can expect to need 4 to 8 sessions depending on the pigmentation of your skin and hair.
They also offer electrolysis, which is usually a treatment one gets done after they have finished with their IPL or laser sessions. It focuses on the last standing stubborn hairs so that your skin can reach that baby-bum feel (praise!).
Éléments also offers waxing for those that are not into a long-term hair-free commitment.
They offer IPL and waxing for men as well, and we all know that some really need it! Back hair anyone?
Quick insight into their pricing for IPL: expect to pay $115 for a Brazilian, around $150 for half legs and $45 for underarms.
Quick insight into their pricing for electrolysis: expect to pay $20 for 15 minutes, $38 for 30 minutes or $70 for 60 mins.
Quick insight into their pricing for waxing: expect to pay $40 for a Brazilian, $30 for half legs and $12 for underarms.
DISCOUNT ALERT! Éléments offers you 10% off if you book your first hair removal session with them and mention ILUKbefore July 7th!
NSTYLE BEAUTY LOUNGE
Hair removal: Waxing
Downtown: 1500 McGill College Ave, on Montreal Trust’s 2nd floor.

We like NSTYLE for its location. If you work downtown, you can easily go during lunch time or after work, although that is when they are the most booked. If you can sneak out for a quick wax between 2pm and 5pm, you have better chances of getting a last-minute appointment.
They also offer men hair removal services (waist and up)!
Quick insight into their pricing for waxing: expect to pay $45 for a Brazilian wax, $30 for half legs and 17$ for underarms.
SPA SYLVIA PIZZI
Hair removal: waxing, laser/IPL, electrolysis
Pointe-Claire: 223 Place Frontenac (at the corner of Blvd St-Jean and Brunswisk)
© photo Spa Sylvia Pizzi
We like Spa Sylvia Pizzi because of the extra attentive care you get from the owner and her staff. Forget the big spas where you are just a number. Here, they take the time to explain each procedure and what is best suited for your needs. You get that homey feeling. Her customers are loyal and that says it all. They are in favor of laser for permanent hair removal and use the Gentle Max Pro, the best machine on the market (as used at VicPark!). However, they also cater to those who prefer IPL. Upon the first free consultation, you can decide what road to go down on.
Sylvia and her team also cater to men!
Quick insight into their pricing for laser: expect to pay $175 for a Brazilian, around $200 for half legs and $75 for underarms.
Quick insight into their pricing for electrolysis: expect to pay $22 for 15 minutes, $40 for 30 minutes or you can get a package of 60 mins (to be used over various sessions) for $75.

Hair removal: waxing, sugar waxing
Downtown: 4660 St-Laurent Blvd (between St-Joseph W. Blvd and Mount-Royal Ave E.)
© photo Espace Nomad
We like Nomad because of their amazing reputation. Many say they offer the best Brazilian of Montreal! Let’s be real, going for a wax is never pleasant. People say that the more you go, the less it hurts but I think many would disagree with that (including moi). Maybe it’s just the anticipation that makes it hurt more but if you tell me a salon is the best at Brazilian waxing, I definitely want to try it out! What’s more Nomad offers sugar waxing which is eco-friendly and quicker.
Quick insight into their pricing for waxing: expect to pay $40 for a Brazilian wax, $32 for half legs and 15$ for underarms.
Quick insight into their pricing for sugar waxing: expect to pay $45 for a Brazilian wax, $37 for half legs and 20$ for underarms.
Nomad offers some special prices for 3 areas or more, check out their website!
DISCOUNT ALERT! Nomad offers you a green bio smoothie on the house if you book your first hair removal session with them and mention ILUKbefore July 7th!
Hair removal: waxing, IPL
Downtown: 3037 Masson St (between St-Michel Blvd and d’Iberville St)

We like Mawaii because from the moment you walk in, you feel zen – it’s the quiet kind of place. The owner and her team are very professional and make you feel at ease whether you have your butt naked or are getting a facial. Hair removal is, as I have stressed earlier, never a pleasant moment but somehow the vibe of the salon makes it relaxing.
Gentlemen, they can take care of you too!
