Yes, you can book THAT on the iluk app!

For those who may not already know, in addition to our iluk PRO SaaS product we also have a marketplace app to book last-minute appointments at the best salons and barbershops in town. We launched iluk app in Montreal and Toronto and expect more cities to soon follow. When people first learn about iluk app, they tend to think of booking last-minute haircuts, mani/pedis or waxes. But, did you know that there’s a variety of other services that can be booked on the iluk app that you might not have immediately thought of?

In this post, we’re encouraging people to think beyond the shears and explore some of the less conventional services you can book last-minute on the iluk app. We’ve created a quick round-up of some of our top recommendations of these lesser-known services in Montreal at some of our amazing salon partners. Yes, you CAN book that on the iluk app!

Facial Injections: Alice Beauté & Café (Sud-Ouest)

We know that Botox and fillers can have a bad rap. But, over the years they have gone from being a taboo and clinical “procedure” to an extremely common service that many salons now offer. When administered correctly, they can help smooth out fine lines and reduce signs of ageing. While we are huge advocates of natural beauty and rocking the skin you’re in, we also know how injections can make people feel more confident. (for us, it’s all about feeling good!) For those who want to try their first injection or in need of a touch-up, iluk bring injections on-demand by allowing you to book fillers last-minute on the app!

Not only are they minimally invasive, but salons are now trained and equipped to administer these services in a safe way with few adverse side effects. Alice Beauté Cafe in Montreal’s South-West ‘hood offer a variety of injections targeting various areas of the face. These beauty pros administer fillers safely and with a ton of care for their clients. This allows their clients to leave the salon feeling their best!

Beard Lineups: CRISP (St Henri)

iluk app is also for men, as we work with many awesome barbers and shops. In addition to classic haircuts and beard trims, beard lineups have become a modern barbering must. The hallmark of a good barber is their ability to line up a beard with crisp precision, while highlighting the client’s natural facial features with defined cheek and neck lines.. Fortunately, CRISP in Montreal’s St-Henri hood has that covered. If the barbershop’s name didn’t say it all, CRISP’s clients can walk away rocking well-groomed facial hair that looks natural (think un-patchy) and meticulously defined.

On top of their five-star barbering, CRISP oozes all things cool, with decor that is on-point and a kick-ass team.

Dermaplaning: New Age Spa (Lasalle & Laval)

Never heard of dermaplaning? You wouldn’t be the first! This skincare treatment seems to have picked up momentum and popularity in recent years and is now one of the most sought-after skincare salon services. Dermaplaning is a method of removing dead skin cells, peach fuzz and dirt from the surface of the skin. Similar to shaving, salon technicians administer a painless blade to gently scrape away facial hair while also ridding the skin of any build-up of dead skin cells that can make skin look dull or uneven. Think of it as a meticulous way of exfoliating your skin! By removing these different barriers, skincare products can penetrate more easily and skin appears more smooth and youthful.

Montreal’s New Age Spa offers this lesser-known facial treatment at both their amazing salon spaces in both Lasalle and Laval. New Age Spa staff undertake dermaplaning with painstaking precision and will ensure that you leave the spa with bright and glowy skin.

Full Body Spray Tan: Radian Tan (West Island)

As most of us have been hibernating this year, I think it’s safe to say that we welcomed summer 2021 with open arms. With so many hours spent indoors, spray tans are a safe and easy way of getting a sun-kissed glow without UV exposure. Unlike tanning beds and lying in the sun, spray tans allow you to achieve a bronzed look without damaging your skin or increasing your risk of developing skin-related cancers like melanoma.

Spray tans are another service that you might not have thought of booking on the iluk app but that you can absolutely book on a whim. Radian Tan in Montreal’s West Island is an awesome spot that we highly recommend. Not only does owner Teresa’s work yield amazing results, she is on a mission to help women and men feel beautiful, strong and confident. That’s a summer goal we can get behind!

Hair Botox: Comptoir Beauté (Sud-Ouest)

While its name can be misleading, hair botox doesn’t actually contain any botulinum toxin, Botox’s main ingredient. Instead, hair botox is actually a deep hair conditioning treatment that coats individual hair strands with fillers such as keratin or vitamin compounds to fill in any broken or thin areas. This makes hair appear fuller, more voluminous and shiny.

Comptoir Beauté in Montreal’s South West can be counted upon for a last-minute hair botox fix. Their treatment uses a natural and vegan formula to hydrate and rejuvenate your locks. Not only will this hip and Instagrammable spot make your hair dreams come true, but owner Sabrina is a gem who goes the extra mile to make her clients feel amazing, .
